As British legal tender, Britannias are CGT Free
On 2nd March, 2015, The Royal Mint unveiled a new effigy of the Queen designed by Royal Mint engraver Jody Clark. Coins made from this date onwards feature the fifth portrait on the obverse.
Fifth Portrait
The Royal Mint are not releasing bullion products with the fifth portrait on until the 2016 coinage is released. As the 2015 proof Britannias are not released until later in the year, we suspect they will feature the new, fifth portrait.
Unfortunately The Royal Mint are yet to release an image of the Britannia with the new Jody Clark fifth portrait. We will update this page once one has become available.
The obverse features the new fifth portrait of the Queen designed by Royal Mint engraver Jody Clark.
We do not yet know what the reverse design will be like.

We believe that now The Royal Mint is trying to push its bullion products they are no longer producing fractional bullion / uncirculated Britannias. If we hear otherwise you will be the first to know.
We will update this page when we have information as to when the coin will be available.
We are yet to discover whether The Royal Mint will be selling these to distributors at a trade discount. If we can offer them, we will. If you would like us to add you to our wishlist please telephone us on 01253 34081, then we will contact you as soon as they become available - and we guarantee that we will be cheaper than the official issue price.
