The obverse on both coins is the same portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, as used on British sovereigns, by Ian Rank-Broadley, but with a different legend (inscription):

Jersey coin - A portrait of William I (the Conqueror), with sceptre, in a quatrefoil tressure, with the legend:BAILIWICK OF JERSEY

British Sovereign - The sovereign features the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse, with Benedetto Pistrucci's iconic image of George slaying the dragon on the reverse.
