Canadian Gold Mounties
In 1997, the Royal Canadian Mint introduced a new gold bullion coin with a difference. The one ounce gold mountie coin issued in 1997 give a repurchase value of $310 US guaranteed until Jan 1st 2000. Although an announcement at the time implied that there would be further issues after 1997, we are not aware of a 1998 or subsequent issues.
