2012 Diamond Jubilee One Kilo Gold Proof Coin
To celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee on the 5th June 2012, the Perth Mint have produced a one kilo gold proof coin.We discussed the Diamond Jubilee releases with the Perth Mint at the Berlin Money Fair in February and had some input to the design of this coin.
The Perth Mint are always good value for money so we took a plunge and bought the lot!This coin is exclusive to Chard, except for the Perth Mint of course!
We received our first coin in stock on the 30th May 2012.
Obverse
The obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of the Queen, with the inscription:ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA

The reverse features the St. Edward's Crown, edged by sixty diamond motifs, one to represent each year of Her Majesty's reign, with the inscription:DIAMOND JUBILEE
