Most of the San Marino 5 scudo coins have a new obverse and reverse design each year, as they are issued mainly for collectors. We will not try to describe all of them, although we intend to add more photographs when time permits, meanwhile we give a brief description of the:-1989 5 Scudi
Obverse
An interpretation of the coat of arms of San Marino, the three towers on a shield surmounted by a crown and within a laurel wreath, and LIBERTAS below on a scroll. The inscription REPUBLICA DI SAN MARINO appears around the border.Reverse
