The 1863 coin is a different design to the 1950-1969 coins, although both designs feature Liberty.1863 - Obverse
Small wreath above flagged arms within sprigs with the date below the arms. The legend reads:"REPUBLICA PERUANA LIMA 9 DECIMOS FINO. Y.B."
1863 - Reverse
Seated Liberty with the denomination "20 SOLES" underneath. The legend reads:"FIRME Y FELIZ POR LA UNION"
1950-1969 - Obverse
National arms above the date. The legend reads:"REPUBLICA PERUANA"
1950-1969 - Reverse
Seated Liberty flanked by shield and column with the fineness "9/10 FINO" underneath. The legend reads:"VEINTE SOLES ORO ORO FINO GRS"
