The Perth Mint was established in 1899 as a branch of the British Royal Mint. It primarily made gold sovereigns.
It ceased to production of sovereigns in 1931, and is no longer a branch of the Royal Mint. The Perth Mint remains one of two official government mints in Australia - the other being the Royal Australian Mint.
The Perth Mint is the oldest existing Australian mint, and has always specialised in precious metals, particularly gold.
Perth mint produce two main ranges of gold bars, their classic Perth Mint Swan bars, and the attractive Oriana bars. We have both designs available
in most weights.
As Perth Mint are, like most major world mints, struggling to keep up with heavy demand for gold bullion products, we are not yet able to place regular production orders for these bars, but we were able to buy some of their shelf stock. Once these are sold, we do not expect to be able to repeat for perhaps a few months.
Mostly the gold bars we sell are intended purely as an investment in gold, and we do not guarantee to supply any specific make of bar, however we get many requests for specific makes or styles of bar for gifts or collectors, and so we try to provide these as an extra service. Naturally we charge extra for supplying specific designs and makes of gold bar. If you wish to buy gold bars at the lowest bullion prices, please see our main Gold Bars For Sale page.
