Kruger Rand
Un Kruger Rand (sic) es una moneda de oro sudafricana, acuñada por primera vez en 1967 a fin de ayudar al oro sudafricano en el mercado. Las monedas tienen curso legal en Sudáfrica, pero realmente no fueron proyectadas para ser usadas como dinero. El Krugerrand era la primera moneda de oro en lingotes para ser apreciada en el mercado por el valor de su contenido de oro; por contraste, las primeras monedas de oro, como el Soberano de oro, tenía un valor grabado en su cara, que podría divorciarse completamente de su valor de mercado. A Kruger Rand (sic) is a South African gold coin, first minted in 1967 to assist the South African gold in the market. The coins are legal tender in South Africa, but were not really designed to be used as money. Krugerrand was the first gold bullion coin to be appreciated in the market value of their gold content, by contrast, the first coins gold, gold as the Sovereign, was recorded at its face value, which could be completely divorced from their market value. The Kruger Rand was the first gold coin to contain exactly one ounce of fine gold and was designed from the moment of creation to provide a vehicle for private ownership of gold. Giving a legal tender currency, Rands could be owned by citizens of the United States while it was banned private ownership of gold bullion but allowed ownership of foreign currencies. However, due to the policy of apartheid in South Africa, the Rand was declared illegal to import in many Western countries during the 1970s and 1980s until that system was built between 1990 and 1994.

What's Wrong?

• First, and most obvious. Mercado del Oro and / or Van Martin have taken and used our copyright image without our consent or prior knowledge. This is a clear breach of our Intellectual Property Rights. We call it image theft, and it is dishonest. It is also unprofessional.
  If the company is an important well established bullion dealer, then surely it could afford to take its own photographs, buy them from an image library, or commission them from a professional photographer. Instead it appear to have chosen to steal our pictures. Apart from exposing them as cheapskates, it is unfair competition.
