brody1944 eBay Copyright Thief - Stupid or Crook?
brody1944, of Levittown, PA, United States, stole our photograph of 3 x One Kilo Gold Bars to use on eBay, omitted to tell buyers that the image was not of the coin he was selling. Either stupid or a crook.
Nobody sells $92,000 worth of gold for $72,000 unless they are stupid or dishonest.
Nobody pays $72,000 for $92,000 worth of gold unless they are stupid, greedy. or very, very lucky.
If it's too good to be true, it won't be!

What's Wrong?
We invest a great deal of time, effort, and cost into creating some of the best photographic coin and bar images on the internet. We strongly object when lazy and dishonest people decide to use them without a by your leave or thanks, doing so in competition with us.
Copyright theft is dishonest. We recommend you avoid doing business with dishonest dealers.
This particular eBay seller not only stole our image of three kilo gld bars, he used it to sell his own bars on eBay. He did not seem to think it was worth mentioning to potential buyers that his bars were not be in the same bars as in our photographs. This is almost certainly illegal in the UK under the Trade Description Act, although it appears to happen on a daily basis on eBay.
It's possible he is ignorant of such fine points, or just plain ignorant.
It is always possible, even likely, that sellers who steal photographs do not own a similar item, and have the intention to totally defraud potential buyers.
The vendor is not only cheating us by stealing our copyright images, he is fraudulently or ignorantly misleading and deceiving all potential buyers. Gaining pecuniary advantage by deception is the definition of fraud.
Price
The seller was asking a starting price of £75,000 or $72,000 US for his bar listings, one purportedly "sold" for £75,000, and the buyer mide1-2009 (feedback 10) left feedback saying "nice product",

More eBay Fraudsters! A partial index of some fraudulent or misleading eBay listings we happen to have noticed. A complete list would need an entire website of its own, and probably a large dedicated editorial staff.
