In 2014, The Royal Mint will issue a commemorative gold £5 crown.The £5 gold crown will commemorate the 300th anniversary of Queen Anne, the last Stuart queen.
Following the precedent of recent years, there are multiple versions of these coins available. These include base metal versions in cupro-nickel, which should be available at banks and post offices. Also specimen versions in folder , silver proofs , piedfort silver proofs, gold proof, and a piedfort platinum version.
The obverse shows the fourth portrait of the Queen, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, and introduced in 1998."ELIZABETH II D G REG F D"
The reverse features an elegant miniture portrait of Queen Anne, surounded by an ornate boarder as designed by Mark Richards:
