Instead of a normal proof coin, which has a frosted design and shiny background, the reverse proof coin has a matt background and a shiny design.

Design Details

The obverse shows the profile of an American Indian. It is a version of the buffalo nickel design, which was designed by James Earle Fraser. It first appeared on coins in 1913. The reverse shows an American buffalo.
