The coins in this set were issued to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's Golden Jubilee.
Design
The Alderney coin features the Raphael Maklouf portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. The reverse shows lions and is part of the shield design.
The Guernsey coin has the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of the Queen on the obverse. This replaced the Raphael Maklouf version in 1998. The reverse shows the Trooping of the Colours.
