Queen's Silver Jubilee Although this set was apparently issued for the Queen's Silver Jubilee 1952 - 1977, the coin designs do not reflect this fact. the gold plated medallion which accompanies the set, however, does have the Silver Jubilee logo as its reverse design. The reverse designs are therefore the same as on a number of the earlier Manx gold proof sets, a Manx or Norse warrior mounted on a horse, with an embossed shield and a sword raised high. This reflect the familiar St. George and dragon reverse of the British gold sovereign.
