Set of 12 medallions, struck in 18 carat gold by the Paris Mint, for the tenth anniversary of the death of Hergé. Tintin's name in Dutch (or Flemish) is Kuifje.
Twelve Adventures?
We dscovered a list of 24 Tintin books by Hergé, so remain slightly puzzled why the Monnaie de Paris chose to issue this set as "12 adventures". Perhaps there are two complementary sets, but we suspect it is more likely that the Paris Mint simply selected only 12, possibly the best known stories.
The certificates inform us that there were also sets issued in silver.

Description
The obverse of each medallion illustrates one of the 12 adventures of Tintin, in a somewhat minimalist style.
On the reverse, each medallion bears the same image of Tintin and Snowy.
Edge The edge of each medal is plain.
