Kilo Gold Bar 4th Sexiest Thing in FHM Magazine Poll
A one kilogramme gold bar from Chard came 4th in an FHM Magazine "100 Sexiest Things" feature in July 2006, beaten by Scarlett Johansson in first place.
Second place went to a Lamborghini Murcielaga LP640, and third place to a £920 per day apartment in Barbados. Cheryl Tweedy's cleavage made fifth place.

Maintenance Costs & Retained Value We reckon maintenance and running costs for the other four items would outweigh the costs of owning the gold bar, and the retained value after 10, 20, or 50 years would be far better for the gold bar.

Kilo Versus Good Delivery Perhaps we should have supplied FHM magazine with a "London Good Delivery" bar instead of a 1-kilo job, perhaps it would have made first place, although we have to admit that it could be very pleasant if Scarlett Johansson kept us in the manner we would like to get accustomed to, from the fees for her modelling work.

Photogenic We also have to say that FHM's photographer did an excellent job of photographing our Heraeus bar, and admit to a touch of jealousy. Sometimes when we are working late into the night taking photo's of gold coins and bars, and then touching them up using software, we think it would be more interesting to have something more responsive and human to work with.
