2013 British Gold 5 Coin Proof Sets
As at 8th November 2012 we do not know of any trade suppliers that will be stocking this product - giving the Royal Mint a complete monopoly on a product they sell at £4,000.Considering the gold in this set - at the time of writing - was just £2,212.25 (based on gold at £1,073.96) we think this is an exorbitant price and a ridiculous way of treating trade customers.
Update The Royal Mint have now lowered their price from £4,000 to £3,600.
We also have the proof sovereign , proof half sovereign and proof quarter sovereign in stock at prices below the original Royal Mint issue price.
