Bicentenary of the Death of Admiral Nelson In 2005, the British Royal Mint are issuing a gold proof five pound crowns for the bi-centenary of the death of Nelson, which occurred at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Release date was scheduled to be in October, in time for Trafalgar Day.
