Low Mintage As you can see, there is a very low mintage compared with most dates of British sovereigns.
Design
The obverse features the same portrait as on British sovereigns of the same period.
The reverse shows a Norse warrior on horseback, making this very similar in appearance to the St. George and dragon reverse which is so familiar on British sovereigns.
